- Rebates are available on a first come first served basis subject to availability of limited funds, which may run out at any time.
- The appliance must meet current ENERGY STAR® guidelines. Click here to find lists of qualified appliances.
- Rebates are only for residential purchases to replace an existing unit in the household.
- Each household is eligible to receive only one rebate for each appliance type.
- The appliance must be purchased on or after March 1, 2010.
- Rebate applications must be postmarked within 30 calendar days of purchase.
- Application forms must be filled out completely, include a copy of a dated and itemized sales receipt or invoice, and be signed and dated by the applicant.
- Rebate checks will be mailed only to South Dakota addresses.
IMPORTANT for REFRIGERATOR and FREEZER rebate applications!
Applications for refrigerators and freezers must also include:
- A receipt from a recycler as proof the existing unit was properly recycled/disposed pursuant to state law; OR
- Signature of an appliance retailer or recycler that the existing unit was received by the retailer or recycler and will be recycled/disposed pursuant to state law by the retailer or recycler.
